The New York Tin

The New York Tin is Ceremonial-Grade matcha at a reasonable price. Yes, this matcha bears certifications from JAS/OCIA, USDA/NOP, Canada-Bio, and EU-Bio. We'll spare you the pitch about how it is organic, sustainable, and "balanced" (whatever that means), and instead focus on how it is priced honestly and is the highest grade possible.

But how do you keep it so cheap? We are local New Yorkers and don't have stores. We are trying to spread throughout New York without using targeted advertising on social platforms. We also partner with local coffee shops and work with them to bring it to you at a reasonable price. Other brands charge $40+ for a tin (or a bag, with the same amount of tea), and we think that's just too much. 

Why is the label blue? Matcha is green. In traditional Japanese culture, blue was thought to help to fend off evil spirits. If we take this analogy one step further, blue can help us ward off the daily stresses that are known to every New Yorker and instead give us the calm, cool focus to power on.
